Here are some posts I made at the beginning of November that might explain
better.

My problem could have been in my client email program (outlook express). I
believe I could receive email, but I couldn't send without using a
workaround of POPing to a POP account on my server first. I no longer have
log files from November, but I may be able to re-install the latest version
available of the package and report back. Will that help?
I greatly appreciate the patches/upgrades/packages that you and the rest of
the Cobalt engineers make available. This one was particularly useful and
if I can get it to work right for my clients and I for IMAP accounts it's
going back on the box.
