Re: [cobalt-users] RaQ3i-POP-before-Relay-1.1.pkg.

Microsoft Outlook (all revisions) do not handle IMAP correctly, Cobalt
servers or otherwise. Use POP with Outlook or switch to Eudora or
Netscape Messenger for IMAP support. You will need an explicit mail
relay defined for remote IMAP users in the Control Panel -> Email
Parameters form. POP-before-SMTP relay is, naturally, only for POP
users, existing relay rules hold for all other mail clients. I'm still
quite confident that IMAP is not affected by the POP-before-SMTP relay
package.

So... IMAP never worked reliably with Outlook (Express), and you need to
add SMTP relay networks or domains to the Control Panel -> Email
Parameters menu for remote IMAP users so they can send mail.

We can't encourage MS to fix Outlook, and I don't have plans to extend
POP-before-SMTP relaying to monitor IMAP access as well. I do like the
trick of adding an extra POP account check to your email client to
enable the SMTP relay window, stick with that if possible.
