Dear Will,
thanks for your help. In the meantime I got the package to work. Even if I
had removed ALL entries in the relay list of the Control Panel / Email
Parameter this had not worked for me the first time.
I cannot exactly determine why this happend. BUT in order to get the package
to work I did the following:
- uninstall the pkg
- remove the file manually (as you told me)
- rebuild the software list
- restarted the server
- installed the package again
I could imagine that the problem is due to the fact that removing the
entries from the relay list AFTER the installation of the package makes
these problems. Perhaps a simple restart could help here if one has cleared
the relay list BEFORE the installation.
Now I have put all the ip-addresses and virtual site names (without
hostnames) into the relay list again (which is also done by the control
panel when adding a new virtual site) and the package still works fine.
Perhaps you could change the package so that it automatically removes
ip-addresses and domains from the relay list which have nothing to do with
the server or the sites on it ? I know, a lot of work for a simple package,
but everybody should be interested in stopping spam and I think the package
is not popular enough.
Best regards,
Manuel
