All,
Here is how I did it. Its been up and running for over a month w/ no problems.
Raq1 install - Not recommended unless you are familure with the "old"
non-rpm compile/install process.
[ ] development "kit" - kernel upgrade + fixes several broken libs
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/ devkit-0.4.mips.pkg
Note: Since Ive upgraded this I have had ZERO problems compiling.
[ ] source for apache 1.3.9 (or latest)
[ ] source for php 3.0.12
Follow directions in php source directory (INSTALL).
I installed it in /usr/local/bin via
config --prefix=/usr/local/ just to be safe. :)
Once I was sure it would work I edited /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd.init to
run the new binary.
If there is more interest Ill post a more complete summary to the list.
cheers,
wbl
