Your version of NT came with documentation?!?!?!?!  Just like you can go to
a store and buy a nice "How to use Windows NT" book... you can just as
easily find a "How to use Linix" book.  All in all, I would have to say
Linux is FAR more documented and talked about on the web/bookstores/chat
rooms/mailing lists then NT is.

As far as solid goes... I don't even think we want to get into that
discussing on this mailing list.  I have a Linux box which I haven't had to
reboot for over 500 days (and counting) ... enough said.  You'd be lucky to
get a Windows NT box to stay up a tenth of that time without rebooting
itself.  

Don't damn the operating system because you don't like the company.  And
don't damn the company for not telling you how to make the thing do what
you want it to do... that's what YOU get paid for.
