Ah, sometimes people are wrong and sometimes people just don't have the
right solution...it's definitely possible to install Mailman on the RaQ3 and
RaQ4.  I expect it's possible on the XTR and 550 as well and may be possible
on the RaQ1/2, though at a minimum the mips machines would require
installation of a recent version of Python.

Maybe I didn't state it well, but I was simply pointing out that just
because person A can't install product X on a Cobalt server, that doesn't
necessarily mean that it can't be done.  It doesn't even mean it's difficult
to do.  It just means person A couldn't do it.  <g>  Mailman is a case in
point.  I've installed it; in fact I run a number of Mailman lists myself on
a RaQ4.  With that clarification my statement should make more sense now.

You're welcome.  As this thread is now a week old and this will no longer
benefit the original poster I've chosen not to reply to most of your email,
though you made some good points and there were some things I'd address if I
had the time.
