[cobalt-developers] Save on Virtual Site usage

Hi all,

Was wondering if it is possible to somehow save on the available number of
sites that a RaQ4r can accommodate, i.e. it is stated that it can host upto
250 virtual sites, but can this be overcome without actually altering say
some file which contains this restriction.

What I have in mind is something like:

A virtual site of www.hosting-domain.com and then having users coming of
this, i.e. the usual ones of www.hosting-domain.com/~user01 etc.

But by some settings maybe in DNS or the httpd files make it so that any
calls to www.clients-domain.com is served by the
www.hosting-domain.com/~user01 folder, whilst still showing only the
www.clients-domain.com URL.

I know that a lot of servers are capable of this, i.e. having a main hosting
account with sub accounts served from its folders, but is this possible from
within a RaQ4r?

Also, how would I ensure that emails were sent/forwarded to the ~user01
email (POP3) account or could it also be setup some how to sort this one
out.

BTW: domain names are ficticious because I have not decided on what domain
names to assign for the main domain and obviously client domains are in the
future.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated,

All the best,

Ian
