Re: [cobalt-developers] RAQ3 fails to boot after rom update 1.8

Hello!

Did the same thing, the problem in my end is that the disk do not spin up
fast enought.
I did this:

when booting press space to go to rom command
wait 10 secs
enter reboot

it should find the disk.

I've installed
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/users/jeffb/rom/RaQ3-ROM-Update-1.8.pkg and I
think this was a wrong idea....
After installing this from the webinterface I had to reboot.
When rebooting, the cobalt network logo appeared and nothing happens.
(Oops?)
Using the console i get this:

Cobalt Networks, Inc. - Connecting the Dots
                  Firmware version 2.3.25

Current date: Thu Jul 05 18:51:31 UTC 2001

  Flash Bank 1: not installed.
Mounting rom_fs: done
Initializing i18n - language "en": done

Press spacebar to enter ROM mode
Booting default method - From disk

After this nothing happens. The disk-led is on but not flashing or
anything.
After 10 minutes or so I decided to turn the damn thing off.

Did someone ever had this problem? And how can I solve it?
I can get into rom-mode but I don't know what to do there, the test menu is
empty?

Please Help Me!!!!!!!!

Nick de Kruijk
