Do you intend booting from the OS restore disk or booting from any
bootable disk ?

Due to a recent crash that forced me to recover I am interested in this
issue, too. If you two take it off-list, would you mind dropping me a CC

If I would have had (and would have known about) the possibility to boot
from a nice credit-card-emergency-cd and to mount the screwed-up hdd,
things would have been _much_ easier...
