Yes, you can edit the text flat file /etc/named/records, then invoke
/usr/admserv/cgi-bin/.cobalt/dns/index.cgi as root and that will build
your db files are restart named.
The format of the space-separated records for A, CNAME, PTR and MX is
very simple. Archives of this mailing list and cobalt-users will
contain more detailed explanations of the format, but I doubt you'll
need the reference once you look at existing records.
This is the "Cobalt Way".
