One site at a time, through the gui, it now takes me about 5 minutes a
site, after the sites' data has been moved to /temp (which I create as a
symbolic link to /home/sites/home/users/admin/temp. I agree, that's
still way too long. And... it doesn't include multiple users, but only
one user per site.
I'm currently looking at other options, but I've not come up with
anything yet. If you've got a significant number of sites you can speed
up a bit by using Cobalt's scripts to create the sites and users (see
the archives to this group). It's still NOT easy.

A lot. /usr/local, /etc, /home, /root /var/spool, and probably a lot
more <frown>, all recursive backups.
