Hi, We have 2 RAQ1 servers and 1 RAQ3 server. All servers are seriously damaged due to an unscrupulous administrator and need to be reinstalled. We wish to upgrade the RAQ1s to RAQ2 software. Is there a way to temporarily migrate sites from a RAQ1 to a RAQ3 and then move them back to a RAQ2 after we've upgraded. I don't see any way of doing this easily so our intention is to move the sites temporarily to a vanilla redhat server and then back to an upgraded RAQ. How have others handled this? The CMU scripts don't seem to be available for RAQ1 and it also doesn't look like they'd let us go the RAQ3->RAQ2 route. Any ideas? Also once we upgrade the machines what is a good backup policy? We want to use an Amanda server (on a remote Redhat machine) and backup using an Amanda client on each RAQ. What must be backed up to make restoration a plug-and-play procedure? -- fraser campbell <fraser@xxxxxxxxxxx> starnix inc. tollfree: 1-87-pro-linux thornhill, ontario, canada http://www.starnix.com/ professional linux services & products
