So consider,
how can you control how the mail is directed?
As stated in an earlier reply,
there must exist an MX record somewhere. Duh....
Answer this and your problem is solved.
Lotsa DNS queries and confusion on this mailing list lately.
I've even gotten chewed out for trying to help.
Appears basics are not understood.
Wonder why now but nonetheless, almost all of these recent queries, like
this one,
are, agreed, not appropriate for this particular mailing list.
Reason: Are basic Sys Admin questions.
They refer to "how to use" the "already developed" Bind service.
And, therefore, belong in a "users" group mailing list.
Also, should be part of basic skill sets to "Use" and
administrate a server.
Basics, guys.
If any one has any development issues regarding development of this part of
the platform(s)
or issues regarding the current behavior of the platform, that would be
appropriate.
I'm interested.
As it is, I'm quite impressed with what cobalt has done here.

Me and my friend are running a Cobalt Raq3 server

friends and family and share the expense at the same

We are a bit perplexed by something though. We set up
the mail server and it automatically added all the
domain and aliases to be relayed. We are using
register.com for our DNS.
Question is - when we sent email to name@xxxxxxx it
does not go anywhere. No response, nothing. It just
disappears. I even have my account name set up to
forward the emails sent to that one to another email
address for testing. Still nada, nothing.
Am I missing something here?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
