ok, i understand. if it doesn`t work, how do i "downgrade" it again ?
btw:
it`s a big argument against cobalt that everything is experimental ! i
understand perfectly that you cannot make a 2 month test period for an
emergency patch, but the status in the past even for things like
smtp-after-pop or ssh remained experimental forever.
(if you buy a porsche -to earn your money with !!- and they recall it
because they have to update the catalyzer, but the new one is
experimental and makes you loosing your warranty on the engine, what
would you say ?)
on a standard linux box, installing it the hard way (learning by doing),
everything is experimental, too. but one has the possibility to test
everything on an offline 30$ i486 with similar configuration before
uploading it. i at least can not afford to deploy a separate raq3 for
testing purposes, mine have to work.
if it doesn`t work after installing an experimental patch from cobalt,
it would be the same as having it installed on a standard linux box :
you`re alone...
i am satisfied with my raq3, but working a bit around before
reinstalling and deploying it, in my opinion necessary even for
"advanced beginners", i now consider a standard linux distribution +
webmin + some good books as a hard competitor...
disclaimer :
i don`t want to warm up past discussions, it is to be considered as a
question - without expecting a direct answer - to cobalt itself...
