Changing perl is definitely a no-no.  The whole gui stops working.

As far as apache is concerned, I do it all the time.  But as I said, the
one time I had a problem with "warranty" it was over one of the Apache
config files.

The way tech support solved the problem is they told me which file to
change and how to change it.  Since they didn't change it, no $200
charge <smile>.
