I suppose it's time to explain this...
By "void the warranty" what Cobalt means is that if you make a change,
intentionally or not, to a file by doing something outside of the gui,
and that change affects the proper running of your computer, Cobalt
doesn't have to fix it for free.
It's got nothing to do with your hardware warranty.
It's got to do with free support.
For example, if you change one of the httpd configuration files and then
Frontpage extensions stop working properly, you have to change it back
or pay Cobalt.
I found this one out the hard way <wry grin>, although I still don't
think I changed the file.
Nevertheless it was easy enough to change it back.
Disclaimer: I don't work for Cobalt. They and I may (and often do) see
things differently <wry grin>.
