Re: [cobalt-users] RaQ 4i hangs at 6:00 am two days in a row...

This started happening when the hard drive in our RaQ4i started to die. The disk activity that logrotate and the other daily cron jobs was generating was causing the thing to hang then reboot...sounds like it might be the same thing with you..keep an eye on your drive. If possible take it offline and do a complete bad block scan while oyu are connected via a console.

For the second morning in a row my RaQ 4i has hung right about 6:00 am.
This is around an hour after completing it’s daily complete backup.
Using the RaQ 4i backup utility I have it send a COMPLETE backup via FTP
to the machine directly under it at my colo facility.

Since I have my own switch there and tons of free hard drive space I
have been doing full backups on both of my RaQ 4is to a 3rd server
running Fedora on a daily basis. Up until now it has never been a
problem. Yesterday morning as well as today one of the RaQs hangs
around an hour of finishing the backup. Is this related? I
dunno....Any ideas?

There doesn't appear to be anything unusual going on in
/var/log/messages.

Are there other log files I could examine to figure out what it is that
has happened around 6:00 am that is causing this RaQ to hang? I haven't
added any cron jobs or added any software recently. The RaQ is running
