Thank you all for your excellent suggestions -- I was able to get a second hdd running in my Cobalt, though only a 20Gb. I believe that there might be an existing partition from my old windows box on that drive, so I have removed it and will repartition from my pc l8r.

testbox out and give it a shot.  I take it that this ROM version _only_
supports ATA33?

Not sure, but 2.3.38 is the latest ROM for RaQ3/4
and it does support drives as large as 120GB
