I'm running into a strange sort of problem with the mailing list function on
my RAQ550. I have a site that has a form that people signup to subscribe to
a list.
The form sends a subscribe message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx subscribing
them to the list. This works fine. However, when I go to the GUI, the
names subscribed through the majordomo method don't show up. Morever, if
you then add names to the list through the GUI, when you save it will
overwrite the list on the server with the list on the GUI, thus deleting any
names not showing on the GUI. This did not happen with the RAQ4.
Is the GUI pulling the names from somewhere else? I assumed it pulled from
the actual majordomo list.
When I was testing this out, I thought maybe that names in the GUI
were just caching somehow in my browser and new names weren't showing up.
But I opened a different browser and the same GUI list was there.
What's even stranger is that I recently did a mass deletion of names for
another site on the same server. I did the deletions through email to
majordomo@ and in this case the changes DID show up in the GUI. Weird.
I couldn't find any reference to this problem in the list archives. Can
anyone let
me know what's going on? The GUI clearly allows for the possibility that
anyone can subscribe to a list, so the designers certainly must have
considered that people would be signing up through email.
