Bill,
Can't comment on that I use F-prot.
I started seeing them late afternoon, didn't like what I saw coming in to me
and issued a warning to all my users even before it was confirmed as a virus
via F-prot, Norton or Mcafee on the servers or laocal machines here.
As standard all my customers have a email account which is subscribed to a
mailing list (from which they cannot unsubscribe) which is used for alerts
of various kinds such as virus warnings, planned server downtime etc etc.
I don't know if others do this but it works well for me!
To date I know of only one customer's network who was definitely infected
and that is now cleaned.
Phil
Phil, I can safely say that despite how much traffic MyDoom is causing, it
doesn't have widespread penetration. It's causing a lot of fanfair simply
because everyone's seeing it - not because it's causing any real damage.
