Re: [cobalt-users] Raq 550 Remote Exploits?

Known exploit with the GUI. Such as?

Personally, no idea. You generally find crackers will have an arsenal of exploits not released out in the wild, wouldn't surprise me if there were a whole heap of Cobalt specific ones; the UI needs continual revision and updates to remain secure, as I'm sure as hell there's bugs, and there hasn't been any updates for a long, long time.

I have just had a Raq 550, full patched get hacked and trashed.

Not unusual. Cobalt's have a history of being notoriously insecure.
If you're not using third party packages, or rolling your own updates,
your machine will be hacked sooner or later; Sun release very few
package updates these days. Which sshd package were you using? What
third party packages were you using?

Could even be a known exploit with the GUI.
