Checkrootkit is really easy to install...
Here's my template for it, you just need to tweak the filenames a bit:
su -
cd /home/sites/home/admin_tools
wget ftp://ftp.digitalvoodoo.org/pub/mirrors/chkrootkit/chkrootkit.tar.gz
tar -zxvf chkrootkit.tar.gz
rm chkrootkit.tar.gz
cd chkrootkit-0.42b
make sense
./chkrootkit
cd ..
rm -r chkrootkit-0.41
ln -s chkrootkit-0.42b chkrootkit
