This morning, the SMTP server shut down because of process load and
would not come back up. I rebooted and everything was fine. I have POP
before SMTP running, but there are several users that cannot send even
after checking their mail, relaying denied. They could before fine. The
archives have a lot of info on this, but it is mostly people who are
trying to get POP before SMTP working and mine was working fine and I
was hoping not to have to read every single post about this if someone
knows what might be happening. Anyone had this working and then stop all
of sudden?
Also, I have this process by the user root running called 'Authenticate'
and I've never seen that before, does anyone know what that process
does?
