I don't recall if they'll automatically recreate or not; you might want
to post on the spamassassin-talk list; it's hosted at sourceforge.
You can learn about SpamAssassin at http://www.spamassassin.org.
I do know that if you empty them you've lost all the beysian training
and spamassassin will not be near as good as picking out spam. It'll
have to start learning all over again.
It sounds like it's time to learn about SpamAssassin <smile>.
