I've tried few days ago the opensource for the Cube 3 under RH 9.0 and
it works quite nicely...

the only problem is that you cannot use standard PKG files to install
additional
software... it says that the software has not been designed to work with
this
appliance...

So, I guess, the only way to add additional packages is to install RPMs...

anyone has any further feedback?
