Hi,
First time here so please be patient.
My lack of expertise is with the Raq. The rest I understand.
I recently set up a Cobalt Raq 3 as follows (physical then IPs):
ISP-1 IP-redir >>> ISP-2 to ADSL >>> Router >>> Cobalt Raq 3
www.Domain.com >>> ADSL 81.x.x.x >>> 192.168.0.1 >>> 192.168.0.20
Also (for info only) >>> 192.168.0.x > FW > LAN
ISP 1 simply registered my domain and provides routing to an IP address of
my choice
ISP 2 is my local ISP and provides my ADSL connection
Router is Efficient Network Router 5861 - excellent & highly configurable.
(and has much in common with Cisco's)
The Router has ports 21, 23, 25, 69, 80 forwarded to 192.168.0.20 (sort of
DMZ)
I have a couple of odd problems and have run out of ideas what to do next
1. I can FTP the Raq from the ISP2 (81.xxx.xxx.xxx) no problem & xfer files
I cannot FTP login via the www.Domain.com (redirected)
it appears to try and gets my user name ... but no success completing the
login (This I am less worried about - but a solution would be nice)
The more peculiar problem is:
2. I cannot get to web pages from either 81.xxx.xxx.xxx or wwww.domain.com
I am getting to the Raq and my Web requests are activating the WEB LED
If I go via the IP address then the Browser address changes to the correct
domain name so this also confirms that I am reaching the Rag
The browser first displays a blank page for about 5 secs (the WEB LED
also flashes frequently during this time)
Then browser tries to open a second page - but this is simply "white space"
on my display but no further "busy" activity from WEB or LAN LED
From now on I think the web request is re-requested every so often (30secs)
as the browser Address line appears then dissappears and the WEB LED
accasionally blinks on.
After this no further screen update - appears locked ...... I have have
to close Browser (IE6) using Task Manager (although said to be "running")
If I FTP to the Web space and execute the Index.html file, it open OK in
browser
So my problem appears to be in directing the incomming request to the
correct (any) web space.
(As I am new to the concept of virtual web space I do not fully understand
how this works - where it gets the Domain info from etc.)
Any suggestions on what to try / do next would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

(no not really - been doing it for years ;-) )
