Ok Guys/Gals,
I have a fair bit more info.......
Thus far : The Raq 4 runnin Raq 550 os7 is still not adding bandwidth
limits.
Reason: bwmgmt is not installed.
Why isn't it? : When I attempt to install it alone I get a message saying I
need some kernal updates first (these being -
RaQ550-All-Kernel-0.0.1-2.4.19C9_V-1 &
RaQ550-All-Kernel-0.0.1-2.4.19C10_V-1)
Cool (thinks I) - Adding either of the updates in Bluelink seems to install
it but actually doesnt (it still appears in the Updates list and says it is
not yet installed), Installing in the shell just fails with no particular
issues - it just doesn't work.
Why doesn't it work?: It seems these kernel updates were compiled for the
intel based systems, after reading the archives someone recommended nuonce
and I took a look but was unable to find any updates for my system. (a RaQ 4
as stated above amd 475mhz)
What now? : This is the part I am hoping you will be able to help me with,
at the moment cron is emailing me every hour with a $hit-load of "iptables
v1.2.1a: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who? (do you
need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded" Which I am presuming
is related, I have about 50 PHPNuke sites each consuming 1MB/sec of my
bandwidth (burstable, so they are taking all they can get).
I am happy to use mod_bandwidth and other software if needed but I still
want to sort out the other issues being created. I am hoping someone has
done the kernel update for my system. I will do as much as I can to get this
update built but my skills in linux are .... limited?!?!?(limited = complete
linux retard). Access to a bawx and/or storage are offered if anyone has the
time, skill, patience to do it.
Thanks in advance of any suggestions
