Hi!
Oppss... (we seem to be the ones active on a sunday) :P

I see what you are saying but in my understanding that would be data
transfer amount and not data transfer rate.
Taken from the Cobalt GUI "Limit the maximum data transfer rate from sites.
Each limit affects all sites associated with the IP address that is
limited."
When I attempt to add a limit, the help bar displays "Bandwidth Limit (in
kilobits/second) to place on the IP address listed."
Therefore I do think this feature is a bandwidth (speed) limiting feature
instead of a data transfer amount limiter.
Thank you for your reply, and based on this information any further help
would be appreciated. I shall store the ipacct location for future reference
as that will come in useful to me for something else.
Forgive me if this post does not continue in the thread, I am posting this
manually based on the archive.
I've just rechecked and you're right
-> Bandwidth Limit (kbps)
but where did you get the 0-400000000 limit from?
I have successfully set mine to "999999999" in the
Raq550 GUI with no problems.
Just to be sure we're looking at the same thing, the
configuration is found at:
Server Management -> System Settings -> Bandwidth
Limits
Another thought, how about disabling the website
first? or stopping the web server via the CLI,
and then try to apply the bw limits. Maybe it can't
"reduce" the speed because your site has already
exceeded the 40kbps in the first place. I should
try it myself, but am too lazy to upload a huge
file over... have been fighting determined spammers
the whole day, internal and external... :P
regards.
