I will soon be setting up a web server system in my home involving the
linking of a number of servers as part of my home
network to form this. I was seriously looking into purchasing a (followed by
a few) Raq server(s) in order to host webpages
and files. However, it appears that Cobalt servers are no longer in
production and will therefore ceased to be
supported in a certain amount of time. Is this true and are there any plans
to produce further models in the range suitable for
my application. Additionally, if I were to buy some of the current models,
which would you suggest given that these servers
are likely to be shared among users rather than dedicated to one particular
website? If these are unsuitable, which other
model of server would you recommend for my usage? Does anyone know what the
going rate for new Raq servers is in the UK
and where they may be obtained either new or second hand?
Many thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!
Chris
