It actually took me well over a year to realize what drives Sun, and 
once I did, everything they've done in the last ten years or so has

What drives Larry Ellison (and therefore Sun) is doing whatever will 
hurt Microsoft and Microsoft market share.

When it looked like appliances would do that, they were all for 
appliances.  Now that it looks like it's a desktop platform that'll do 
it they're all for a desktop platform.

What do you think?  Have I found the magic equation <wry grin>?
