Hi Folks,
A customer called me last week and asked me if I could write some php/mysql
script that queries a 200MB database (and growing)
And if I could host such things on one of our raq550's (a real 550).
The fact that it's a 200MB DB with more than a million records (pricelists
of parts) possibly being queried by up to 20 dealers at the same time scares
me a bit to give a go to this project.
Does anyone have experience with large MySQL DB's on raq's ? What about
performance ?
Can it be done on a shared hosting raq with other DB's or should I consider
a dedicated raq.
Is a raq550 to be considered as a solution at all?
Thanks in advance.
John
