Hi, folks-
I need some pointers on a problem and am unable to locate any
references through searching the list archive.
Problem: through GUI, have greyed out domain with "X" (domainx.com);
and if I try to modify or delete domain I get an error "server in
process of deleting domain... please try again later" or some such.
Basically, I deleted a defunct client website through the GUI, and it
turned out there were some root owned CGI applications (ie., TAME
binary) and 195,000 cart files (!) in the root of the domain account,
which the server could not delete.
I deleted the files and binary, and directories, and the site folder
in /home/sites/
I checked all the usual suspects like httpd.conf, virtusertable, even
deleted the dbs in the AWstats directory, and any mail/user
queues/caches remaining.
Still can't figure out where the GUI is finding the "ghost" of this
domain. I've rebooted several times, deleted/rebuilt the slocate.db
.. and now I'm stuck on what else I can try.
I sometimes have M. Stauber do work for me, but he hasn't responded
to my email inquiry after 5 days, and my datacenter recently was
"absorbed" (resitance is futile) by Interland, so support is pretty
much lost forever on that front.
Any suggestions? There has to be a file or db someplace to wipe,
rebuild or whack in some way to get the GUI to "release" the idea
that the domain is still there, so that I can add/remove other sites
through the GUI.
Thanks so much for anybody taking the time to respond.
Christopher Simmons
(ps I've been a RaQ4 owner for three years - own two, actually and
have been a "lurker" on the cobalt list for a similar length of time)
