no, they should all be in the file hostname.of.source.dirs.tar.gz

Thanks Daniel, but..
There is no hostname.of.source.dirs.tar.gz file created. There are only hostname.of.source.[cmu-xml-files][-private][-public].tar.gz. Any way to troubleshoot this? I've been taking a look at rsync and it is going to take some study to do what I want.
