[cobalt-users] {Scanned} Mail problems - help please

ok I've searched google and the archives with no real answer to this, which
may be more cobalt specific than general.

I have a php page that sends a mail with some info using the mail

mail($mail_send_to, $mail_subject, $msg, $mail_send_from);

when we set it to send to an address that's domain is not on the server in
any form it goes so I know the basic php code is correct and the structure
of the mail command is correct.

When we set it to a domain that is on the server but mail is handled on
another server we get the following error

Oct 10 20:55:40 is7 sendmail[32532]: h9AJtes32532: from=httpd, size=365,
class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200310101955.h9AJtes32532@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,

domaina.com is the main name of the box and the box has a dns entry,
domainb.org is the domain of the web site hosted on the box but mail is
hosted on another box.

It correctly identifies the MX for the domain and gets the correct ip but
from there it seems to go all wrong, the end result is that it sends an
equally confusing mail to http on the RaQ.

I know people have had this before as I have seen similar questions but
couldn't find an answer in the archive.

Thanks

Gavin
ps I have removed all email aliases from the site settings
