I think it's worth mentioning when we get BlueLinq updates, especially for
security vulnerabilities. But also, I want to mention that my Qube3 sent me
notification for THREE updates yesterday, but when I logged in today, I
found FOUR updates pending. Just about a month ago, I had rebuilt this
machine to OS 6.4 and laboriously installed ALL the then-available patches,
etc. as brought to my attention through BlueLinq.
My bottom line thought here is that BlueLinq is unreliable and you need to
check it regularly. I am hoping people will talk about these updates
frequently so that users will be aware of them. I would particularly
appreciate it if anyone has some detailed knowledge of the reasons for these
updates.
The three updates that were in the notification were:
Name: Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16311
Description: "BIND" security update
Name: Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16505
Description: "Imap" security update
Name: Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16513
Description: "GNUPG" security update
The one that I was not notified about is:
Name: Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16561
Description This update fixes security issues with "unzip".
