[cobalt-users] mnogosearch & prob with cgi execution ?

Hi all,

as many have you have suggested to me on the list some
days ago I installed mnogosearch

-install & config went OK
-running indexer from command line OK (=it crawls &
index every site I want very fast)
-then I copied the compiled search.cgi into the /web
(as suggested in the install doc) to give users the
ability to do a search
->does not work -->no error but returns a *empty*
*blank page*
(whatever I chmod it...same result)
The strange fact is that if I run it via command line
with :
export QUERY_STRING="q=search_test"
./search.cgi
-->IT WORKS & gives results !!??

After readind this list I suspect a cwiwrap protection
or apache ??? or something else with rights?
(nota : installing rpm from zeffie does same problem
blank page when searching  trough web)

any idea would be strongly appreciated ?
(please very step by step instructions ... as I am a
beginner)
