the msn network requires you log into it.  with outlook or outlook express, 
you can use your own mail server, but you have to log in to msn, with other 
email clients, you can't do it.  I couldn't with Eudora up through 5, not 
sure if 6 will allow it.  This ability may solve your problem, loging into 
sprint while still checking your server.
