Hi Dan,
The problem is if I configure a domain on the server:
I also add your domain on the Relay (on E-mail Server at Control Panel)
(and I have the check POP-Before-RELAY)
Try the next example:
Configure a new account on the Outlook Express with the next parameters:
On "General" TAB on the E-mail address: (type a real address, you have on your server)
On "Servers" TAB please complete just the next information:
Incoming mail (POP): (type your real server)
Outgoin mail (SMTP): (type your real server)
account: (real account)
Password: (don't put any thing)
And uncheck the next 2 boxes. and apply!.
Now make the next test:
1) Send an e-mail to an external e-mail address. Without any password!
Result: you can send emails, that's because POP-Before-Relay just is checking the e-mail address, account name, and domain. The POP-Before-Relay they didn't ask you for the password, to send the email.
Note: I reinstall a new XTR (with all the updates with and without the mailscann) and have the same problems.
Regards..

For example: If I configure on an Outlook
Express,
the admin account. I try to send with out any passwd, to
admin@xxxxxxxxxxxx or root@xxxxxxxxxxxx, the server let me send the
mails. Note: If I try to send to an external domain, the
server STOP
ME!, but for local I can send. Some one know how to solve
this problem?
It's not a problem, the server is designed to accept mail for local
domains. There's no difference if you set your email program to connect
to your SMTP or if someone sends via their ISP that then finds your MX
and sends that way.
