Hi everyone
The process to remove the "www" in your users' e-mail addresses is pretty
simple once you've spent countless evenings perfecting it :) ... it is a
one-time process ***each time*** a new domain is added to your box. No
maintenance required !! ;)
1. Edit openwebmail.conf : Define an item called "allowed_serverdomain" and
insert a [tab]
2. Add each full host name for each openwebmail domain: ie host.domain.com
(usually www.domain.com) separated by commas
(e.g. allowed_serverdomain mail.domain.com, www.anotherdomain.com,
www.thirdomain.com)
3. Create a file for each openwebmail domain under the "sites.conf"
directory named by the full host name: ie host.domain.com (www.domain.com)
4. Define an item called "domainnames", insert a [tab] and insert ONLY the
domain name (without the host or "www") (e.g. domainnames domain.com)
5. That's it! All new OpenWebMail users will now have email pre-configured
as user@xxxxxxxxxx as well all aliases@xxxxxxxxxxx
Enjoy. OpenWebMail rocks. :)
