No problem, sounds like you did not run the "install-f-prot.pl" program that
is included with the new version (/usr/local/f-prot/install-f-prot.pl) which
sets the permissions and such.

I did not, should I now with it running?
also, do you know, which processes first, mailscanner deleting .pif files or the antivirus software normally
