[cobalt-users] RaQ550 UNKNOWN ERROR DURING CREATE

I have already searched, and read the "Cannot Create Users or email
Alias's all of the Sudden on a RAQ550" thread from archives... 

I looked into the virtusertable, that the thread was dominated by, but
it is fine and no errors on makemap, and nothing else weird within the
file??? Could this issue be caused by anything else?

Some past history on this box:
1) box is purchased, patched, and sent to datacenter and setup
2) CMU RaQ4->RaQ550, and server comes into production
3) box was rebooting sparatically with the c7 version kernel
4) call Sun, boot from ROM to stabilize production server
5) Harddrive failure, yeah RAID!!! No sites are down 
6) Harddrive replaced few days later
7) Have NOT patched for c9 kernel, yet

I might not be able to find out what was the last thing done before this
broke, as we have a team of support that help customers... Or when this
happened within the steps above? Obviously after 2, and I got first
report of this issue just before 5 (HDD failure), which is about a
month's time.

But not finding anything else in logs

Is this caused by running off of ROM-kernel? So, would updating to
newest c9 version would resolve? The issues with c7 kernel completely
resolved with c9? OS restore as last resort?
