Don't know if this will work for you or not... But when I had issues
with 2 actual 550's and the bad kernel (c7), I was told to use
"/usr/sbin/cmos -c defboot r:d" to load kernel from ROM (after reboot)
to stabilize the production server. And then, "/usr/sbin/cmos -c defboot
d:d" to boot from disk again. I do not have any Raq3's to test, but I
see this is available on Raq4's
