Just an update. I had someone test it on a 60 GB HD, and it worked fine.
So,
I ask you true Kernel Gurus ( Duncan, Bruce, Jeff or anyone else I missed?)
...
why would it act like that? Is there something that can be compiled into the
Kernel?

I have had two people tell me that the original kernel (2.4.16 C12) works
with
dual 80 GB, but the moment it goes 2.4.19 C6 it will fail.

I do not have output from the console saying what fails, but all I do have
is this
from someone who tried it:

"However, on a reboot, the raq stops at checking hda during the boot
process."

I do not have anything to actually test it with, or I would be more then
happy to
donate my box.

This is on a RaQ 3/4 with the RaQ 550 software. It is using the i386 RPM
that
Duncan so kindly released for us.

Any suggestions would be great!!!

Thanks,
Brian
