Hi

       i am facing one problem recently...My server is
cobalt-raq4r. we have created the users through the
cobalt GUI and *sendmail* is running as MTA . Now in
case of the mails. The problem is as follows:

    - When one user is sending mail from any address
to one of
      our domain the messages are showing in the
/var/log/maillog as follows:
______________________________________________________
   Aug  8 09:21:11 server sendmail[1712]:
h78GLBP01712: from=<maleman@xxxxxxxxxx>,
size=752, class=0, nrcpts=1,
msgid=<001a01c35dc9$64b32ea0$a000a8c0@meowmix>, pro
to=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=artemis.ixpres.com
[216.240.160.204]

Aug  8 09:21:12 server sendmail[1713]: h78GLBP01712:
to=<user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
 delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=local,
pri=30266, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent

When i am checking the mail, the mail is showing in my
mailbox as follows:
________________________________________
Date: Fri, 8 Aug 2003 09:23:25 -0700
From: Michael A <maleman@xxxxxxxxxx>
To: user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Subject: Contact Information
________________________________________

I don't want that the "To" will be assigned as
[user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx]

It is not happening for all the users - somtimes i am
seeing that though the maillog
is showing <user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> but the mail is
coming in my inbox as

[user@xxxxxxxxxx]. For few cases , i am seeing this
type of behavior....

If anybody can point me out why it is behaving this
type of - it will be really
helpful...

are you sure the people are not sending to user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx instead of user@xxxxxxxxxxx I have not bothered to deal with it, but that is what openwebmail does when you use it.
