Hi Community! ;)
I've got the latest versions of PHP and MySQL packages installed
available from pkgmaster. But even these versions are kinda old with
lots of exploits. If I want to update to a current actual version,
what must I do not to harm database and php support on a machine
running with customer data?
I searched the list here and found an older "step by step" guide for
an RAQ3 and something for a Qube. I just don't want to "try" this
because if there's something wrong with the install, the customers
won't like it I guess ;)
I read somewhere else that it's *NOT* good to use std. .rpm's because
of problems with the cobalt structure. I found other sites on the web
providing "installation services" - but these are commercial products
who want money for their work. Of course it's their product...
So my question: Are there (more) actucal .pkg's out there somewhere I
just don't know of? Or is there a nice step-by-step manual for me?
I installed all these components on an empty machine with std.
RedHat, but I guess Cobalt is somewhat different, that's why I'm
kinda carefule and not just trying.
Thanks, again - Frank 8)
