O.K. - this problem is somehow solved, but in a complete other way.
First: Thanks to all you kind guys and ladies here for your ideas!
This list is really cool. Never got so much help in that short time -
the sun forum support is really bad compared to this list!
Now to the solution: I heard from our Provider that he had lots of
hack & DOS attacks last days. That's why he switched up one security
level in their firewall. That included the closing of port 81 - so
that must be the reason for not beeing able to reach the admin gui
anymore. I talked to them and we'll update some security parts of the
server and then re-open these 81'er ports again. So I guess we'll see
if it works finally after re-opening.
This leads straight to my next question: php and mysql update, but
I'll create a new Thread with this.
Thanks all again, sorry for not beein a "real server problem" - I
just didn't know that either.... Frank
