[cobalt-users] Where does the Raq2 GUI put virtual host information/virtual host problems

I'm debugging a problem with virtual hosts. When I add a virtual host via
the GUI containing the same IP address as the server main site (ie. both are
xxx.xxx.xx.102), the virtual host can be accessed via http, ftp, ssh, etc.
with no problem.

However, when I add a virtual host with an IP address that is different than
the main site (ie. xxx.xxx.xx.103), I have no response at all from http,
ftp, ssh, etc.

Before you mention DNS, please assume that DNS is configured correctly - I
have done extensive testing to verify DNS. Plus, I cannot access any
services using only the IP address.

Some things worth noting - I would appreciate your clarification:

First, I find no virtual host infomation in any of the apache configuration
files in the /etc/httpd/conf directory. Where does the GUI put this
information? Why can I still resolve/access virtual hosts when using the
same IP as the main site?

Second, when I ping the IP of xxx.xxx.xx.102 from the server itself, icmp
responds with the same address. However, when I ping the IP of
xxx.xxx.xx.103 from the server, it returns the looparound IP. Note that I
can not ping my server from another machine, as my colo firewalls incoming
ICMP messages. This may be a red herring, but I thought it was worth
mentioning.

Why is this Raq being so difficult? I removed all of my virtual sites and
re-added them with not difference in result.

I'll buy you a beer (next time you're in south florida) if you can help me
straighten myself out.

Thanks,
