I allways use the archives (and i had allready found out how to do the
install with)
/usr/sausalito/sbin/pkg_install.pl
/usr/sausalito/sbin/pkg_prepare.pl
BUT this will not work if the pkg has been installed b4 as with my
case.. and there does not seem to be a --force option.. so how do i
continue from there?
You can answer this question by searching the archives. There are
links to the archives at the bottom of each post (notice the part
highlighted IN CAPITAL LETTERS) and in the message headers.Use the
search string, "check pkg contents" and (carefully) read the second
post in the results. (From Bruce Timberlake, in case this post turns
up in the results.)
thanks that did help, but posting the url to that answer would have been
just as easy right? That way it will be more easy to find the answer for
the next person with the same question right?
With the answer to your second question, you will be able to answer
this one.

you.
Thanks for you lesson in how to read faq's and search mail archives ;-)
