Is there really nobody here who knows how to fix this? (I installed

You can answer this question by searching the archives. There are links
to the archives at the bottom of each post (notice the part highlighted
IN CAPITAL LETTERS) and in the message headers.
Here's how I found answers to your questions at
<http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=cobalt-users>, which is yet another
helpful and useful archive of posts to this list.
Question: How do I install a pkg if i don't have access to the GUI
anymore (but i do have ssh shell access).
Use the search string, "install pkg command line" to find your answer.
Question: Can somebody tell me what a pkg is made of? I cannot seem to
untar, gunzip or unzip it (nor does rpm -i work)
Use the search string, "check pkg contents" and (carefully) read the
second post in the results. (From Bruce Timberlake, in case this post
turns up in the results.)
Question: I think the files i need are in
Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-15959.pkg am I right?
With the answer to your second question, you will be able to answer
this one.

you.
