chmod works pretty easy if you know how..


basically you have the rights:
4 = read
2 = write
1 = exec

Just add 'em up, so if a you need rw-rw-r-- that makes chmod 664 (4+2 makes 
rw ;-)
Or you can do it: chmod u+rw,g+rw,o+r
